Chassis BB49KT79413 was originally imported from new into South Africa where it was converted for racing and then had a distinguished motorsport career. The car was then reimported by Cheshire Classic Cars and purchased by the current owner in 2017.
The car has just undergone an over 700-hour back-to-bare shell rebuild by PJM Preparation and is now simply stunning and on the button ready to go.
Chassis
- Original factory seam welded Type 49 shell.
- Stripped right back and fitted with a new Safety Devices multipoint bolt-in roll cage.
- New inner and outer rear arches, rear turrets, 4 link trailing arm boxes and large gearbox tunnel.
- Professional respray in Ford Diamond White with grey interior.
Engine
- Cosworth 1800cc BDE on Siamese 711M6015 block with steel main caps.
- Cosworth SDF 5.230” narrow journal steel rods with ARP2000 bolts.
- Cosworth DFV 85.6mm pistons.
- Cosworth/Laystall 77.62mm narrow journal 12 bolt steel crankshaft all standard size journals.
- 1.32 “ inlet and 1.145” exhaust valves.
- Dry sump with Titan 4 port pump.
- Twin Weber 48DCO/SP carbs.
- Single paddle 7 1/4” clutch.
Fresh from the dyno after full rebuild by TRSE giving 231bhp @ 8000 rpm and 160 lbs ft @ 6800 rpm.

Axle
- Atlas rear axle with 4.6 cwp and LSD. Group 4 alloy axle brace.

- Front AP 4 pot callipers and vented discs.

This was a money-no-object rebuild on behalf of our customer who unfortunately is unable to enjoy this car due to ongoing health issues.
