This is a class and overall championship-winner, as well as Knockhill (up to 1500cc - Class A) lap record holder (59. 5s), and Brands Hatch Indy (56s) on Avon ZZR's- (driven by a novice).
Was built from a solid media blasted bare shell in early 2016 that started as a very nice standard road car.
No reasonable expense was spared which included seam welding and a comprehensive, integrated roll cage by Scott Mcminn MotorsportOther notable features which were also all brand new in 2016 are:
- Twin 45 Weber Carbs
- CSC Full Race Exhaust (Zircotec coated)
- 50L Foam fuel tank
- Oversized Rad-Tec radiator in conjunction with a Mocal Laminova
- Heated windscreen
- LED lights
- MSD Ignition
- Accusump (electric)
There will be many parts I have missed so if you are genuinely interested please give me a call as it's easier than answering emails.
This X1/ 9 has been unbeaten in its class all season and 100% reliable until it secured the title - only one outing in 2019 and won each time it was out.
Car cost as per usual a lot more in both time and parts than what I'm asking so please no offers. I don't want a swap for anything as I already have another project on the go. If it sells it sells and if not I'll happily keep it and venture down south more ... would make an ideal CSCC 1970's/ 80's Future Classic
Looking for £20,950 for a straight sale OR £25,950 to include the spares package below (£10k worth) and happy to arrange delivery to anywhere in the UK:
- A second fresh Bacci Romani dog-box (4:8) with LSD
- Drive-shafts
- Wet wheels/ tyres etc (which were thought necessary but unused as the car behaved all season long are also available separately).
It's a great car that is easy and comfortable to drive (comfortable for drivers up to 6'3") and which both handles and stops nothing like any regular Fiat X1/ 9 - it could easily cope with double the horsepower!
I would also be prepared to help any new driver if they wanted to race it in the SMRC Classics Championship.
I have a full list of all set-up information and timing results sheets from every time the car has been driven.
Videos of the car racing can be viewed on the "Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons" Facebook page or 'SM RC" Youtube channel.
